Dragon Morning

Soft rain of star noise
Patters on dawn
Tin roof

He listens
Half awake
Mind
Slowly redefining
Grasping
This reality
From the mist
Of dreams

Of spear point
Thrusts
Of dragons slain
Of noble quests

And virtue
Never owned

Old Jules

  1. Ethereal!!! I love this….

  2. Jules, I appreciate your heart and head. Here’s one from me.

    Kite Skies
    In the march of me
    Under kite skies
    I was
    Wind blown
    Cloud filled
    Head gone
    Heart filled
    Youth torn
    I was
    Under kite skies
    In the spring of me

  3. Wonderful poem. Tin roofs and “virtue never owned.”

  4. Thanks for that Jules, your vision may be cloudy from time to time, but your mind, as always, is crystal clear. Today was a great day for walking the wooded trail around our lake.

  5. I enjoyed that a lot. Those early-morning reflections, they can make or break your morning.

  6. Good stuff!

  7. I like the text and the picture.
