Daily Doomsday Injections

Went over to Yahoo weather to see what a person might expect in the way of tornadoes or hurricanes etc around here today and noticed the world’s probably going to end today instead of having any weather.

Fairly interesting how interesting a lot of people find the idea of the world ending instead of them just dying the natural way in some car wreck or intensive care unit of a hospital, or strapped slumped into a wheel chair in a nursing home watching a rolling TV screen drooling.

Briefly wondered whether people sneakily think they won’t die without  the world ending with them, everyone going at once.

Top of the list seems to still be ‘global warming’.  Which is the short term view of the world recovering from the last ice age and blaming it on ourselves that it’s doing it.

  1. Each generation cherishes the idea that they are special and that they play an unprecidented role in history. They are correct until the next generation comes along.

    • Hi Swabby. Thanks for the read. I think you probably have it figured right, though I can’t think of anything special about the one you and I ennjoyed. This one now is special because they wear rings in their lips and noses, I reckons. Gracias, J

  2. I’m more scared after reading this than Stephen King’s books.
So what do we do, just sit and wait for disaster to wipe us off the face of the earth?

    • Thanks for the read LCTC. I try not to read Stephen King books, so I’m spared, I reckons. I think what we might consider worthy of doing is just assuming we’re going to die somehow and not spend too much time and energy hoping everyone else will die at the same time. Whether they do or not is out of our control anyway.

History is jam packed with people dying various ways without everyone else dying the same way, so the odds are stacked in our favor.

  3. If I were looking for something to kill us all off in an untimely way my favorite candidate wouldn’t be one listed by the ‘scientists’ [whatever that is]. The Japanese have a busted flush of nukes 600 feet from the Pacific Ocean with umptyump thousands of spent fuel rods exposed to the weather they’re cooling with ocean water and dumping the water back into the North Pacific. Poisoning everything from hell to breakfast in the process. If they keep it up that might do the trick. Been doing it a goodly while already.

I’m betting the Pacific Ocean current vortices [read, Great Pacific Garbage Patch] is already hotter than a $2 pistol.

  4. I agree with you regarding the danger from Japan and the poisoning of the ocean. It is, I believe, the greatest danger we face, and it’s being purposely subsumed by Japan, our government, and the mainstream media puppetry…
