A couple of clarifications

running for president2

When I posted somewhere a while back that [paraphrasing myself] “This president is just a Multi-National Bank CEO with a full body tattoo and heavy investments in the weaponry and chemical/pharmaceutical industries,” I didn’t intend to imply the full bod tattoo thing was a recipe for success for other, future politicians.

I wasn’t spamming for the suntan machine industry, as some of you apparently thought I was doing.  I was just offering up my own unique view of the politics in this great land and the opinion that some things work better than other things when it comes to politics.  Having a few million invested in the right industries or being willing to sell your soul to have those investments is a sure road to success.

If a person with a heavy suntan or full body tattoo wasn’t willing to sell his soul I doubt the pigment would help him much.

I hope that clears things up.

  1. Being willing to sell your soul is requisite before being able to run for president. I would guess it happens years before and this is the ultimate outcome… Obama is no exception and may well be the ultimate example of such…

  2. And for clarification: I want to add that I was a big supporter of Obama, until I realized it was business as usual and then some…

  3. Well, there’s a whole raft of non-tatooed and pasty white ones. So the precident for Presidents already happened. 🙂

  4. Teresa Evangeline: I didn’t support anyone, didn’t vote, didn’t expect any changes no matter which one got the White House. But when the dust settled I was secretly proud the electorate had elected a black man. Still am. Same as I’ll be proud without expecting any changes if they elect a woman, a Chinaman, an illegal alien. I’d prefer to see corrupt demonstrations that there’s less bigotry in the electorate than corrupt demonstrations there’s just the same amount, or more. I’d as soon be robbed and lied to by a black man, for a change, than more white men with grandaddies who held elected offices or got rich off bootlegging or theft.

    But that’s just me.

Swabby: No argument from me on that.

  5. IMLTHO, brilliant observation re: both the CEO position, and the tattoo… As well, excellent use of the power of the Metaphorce…. 😉 Ultimately, a succinct statement, bringing with it great clarity, and demonstrating a keen appreciation of what is obvious to some of us, and totally impenetrable to far too many…..

  6. I can only imagine what sort of comment you received… If I was really curious, I might even start looking for it. But in any case, I’m sure that whoever it was understood your clarification… and equally sure that most of your readers needed no such clarification. What you said had that ring to it, Jules… sounded just right.

    • Thanks ShimonZ. There’s not much a person can say in the US if skin pigment is part of what’s referred to without it being held up and examined through a microscope looking for warts. Glad you came by for a read. J

  7. Tee! Hee! You do, indeed, have a more than interesting take on whatever you may choose…
